Smartbills announces the launch of a search engine aiming to help consumers find products from local businesses
MONTREAL, August 4, 2020 - Smartbills is launching a search engine today to help consumers discover products offered by their local businesses.
"We have developed a search engine that allows consumers to search for products sold by local businesses," the company founder said today. “Our app automatically syncs with merchant stores to provide a unified search experience. All of the products offered by merchants are automatically updated on our platform."
Merchants wishing to display their products in this search engine need only install the Smartbills app on their point of sale. They will not only have the ability to be displayed in the search engine, but also have access insights on their business and on their customers, all for free. Soon, they will also have the possibility of sending their receipts directly to their customers' Smartbills accounts.
This launch represent an important step for the company in their efforts to replace paper receipts with digital receipts and help merchants provide a better shopping experience for their customers.
“With the surge of local purchases, we saw an opportunity that aligned perfectly with our mission. The search engine represents an opportunity for us to help local businesses survive this pandemic. More merchants on our platform means a better shopping experience for consumers and in the near future, more receipts available in their Smartbills accounts "said Sébastien Labine, CEO of the company.
The search engine is available today on the company’s website.
